In her novel White Oleander, Jane Fritch suggests that beauty is something to be used, "like a hammer or a key". Thats your assignment, Pisces. Find practical ways to make your beauty work for you. For example, invoke it to help you win friends and influence people. Put it into action to drum up new opportunities and hunt down provocative invitations. And don't tell me you possess insufficient beauty to accomplish these things. I guarantee you that you have more than enough. To understand why I'm so sure, you may have to shed some ugly definitions of beauty you've unconsciously absorbed from our warped culture. - Rob Brezsny of Free Will Astrology

I missed my teacher

I had a hard time today because for the longest time, I hadn’t come apart.
I started to miss my teacher. Her presence made me feel encouraged. Her words were thought provoking.
Like a block, or strap, even that wall to support my growth, I could hear her, “Joy, don’t be scared. Its not that big of a deal, just go up. Everybody wants to do a handstand!”

As I called her I became an emotional wreck, ready to brave a conversation that I missed her. I felt lost because my quest for guidance to learn from was nowhere in my town but in MIAMI…FLIPPEN MIAMI. What the HELL!

She didn’t pick up the phone and as I held back my tears and my saddened voice I said, “Rossella, its Joy. I called to tell you I miss you and Hello.” Then as I set my phone aside to the seat next to me. A voice whispered in my ear, “That teacher you seek, is YOU!”
